Phenomenal Ensenada-Style Seafood ~ Baja Norte Food Bar

Goodness!

I fell in love with Baja Norte Food Bar, and I fell hard. Consequently I have feasted there quite a number of times.

The seafood dishes – many of them prepared Ensenada-style – are phenomenal, the cocktails are spectacular, and the staff is warm & welcoming. A strong set-up for a fantastic dining experience.

I love Baja Norte Food Bar so much that they are going to be featured in two Celebrating Guadalajara articles – I’ve just got too much to say! And beautiful photos to share. This article will focus on a general overview and a second article in the future will go into more detail about my favorite Baja Norte specialty – Tacos de La Baja Camaron Zarandeado (Baja-Style Zarandeado Shrimp Taco).

Incredible Seafood Dishes

I managed to work my way through most of the Baja Norte menu. Some of the items I sampled include the aforementioned Tacos de La Baja Camaron Zarandeado (Baja-Style Zarandeado Shrimp Taco), Pescado Capeado Estilo Ensenada (fish tacos Ensenada style), Camarones Zarandeados con verduras asadas  (Grilled shrimp with roasted vegetables), and the Ostiones Gratinados (Oysters au gratin).

The common thread between the many dishes I have enjoyed at Baja Norte is that they are all very pleasing to the eye and rich in flavor.

Wonderful Cocktails

Some of the Baja Norte cocktails I have enjoyed include the Baja Thai (like a Mai Tai but with tequila), the Hibiscus Margarita, the Pineapple Express, the Baja Daiquiri, and their Batanga.

I love a good, well-crafted cocktail and every cocktail I have savored at Baja Norte fits the bill.

Rock Star Staff at Baja Norte

Ricardo & Jorge and their rock star staff make culinary magic happen at Baja Norte.

My advice? Get yourself there as soon as you can. The staff is great, the menu has something for everyone, so find what speaks to you and settle in for a delightful, flavorful meal.
