Tacos de La Baja Camaron Zarandeado for the Win – Baja Norte Food Bar

I love Baja Norte and in my previous Celebrating Guadalajara article I shared how I ended up falling in love with this amazing Guadalajara restaurant that specializes in Ensenada-style seafood.

This article is about one of very favorite Baja Norte dishes – their Tacos de La Baja Camaron Zarandeado (Baja-Style Zarandeado Shrimp Tacos).

These tacos feature shrimp marinated in their special adobo sauce, served with guacamole and jicama-jalapeño salad on a blue corn tortilla.

The Secret Behind the Incredible Baja Norte Grill

One of the reasons that their Tacos de La Baja Camaron Zarandeado are so extraordinary is the grill they have at Baja Norte and the secret behind that grill is the very special charcoal wood they use.

I am telling you – the dishes that come off of that grill are phenomenal!

When you combine their select charcoal wood grill with shrimp marinated in their house-made adobo sauce – you have the foundation for an incredible taco!

Once you add their outstanding guacamole, jicama matchsticks, jalapeño rounds, and a blue corn tortilla to that brilliant foundation – The result is delectable.

You Will Need More Than One of These Tacos

I am telling you right now – you might was well order two of these tacos right from the get go – because one just won’t be enough.

I paired my Tacos de La Baja Camaron Zarandeado (Baja-Style Zarandeado Shrimp Tacos) with a Margarita Jalapeño de Pepino (Cucumber Jalapeño Margarita) and that was a soul satisfying meal I still think about.

I have said it before and I will likely say it again – Get yourself to Baja Norte as soon as you can!
